What an Agafay desert dinner evening looks like

1. 3:00 PM, free pickup at your hotel or riad in Marrakech or the surrounding area, shared with other guests, or in a private car with paid VIP transport. The drive takes about 40 to 60 minutes.
2. Late afternoon in the desert: a camel ride on every trip, plus a quad or buggy ride if you choose one of those trips.
3. Around 7:00 PM, dinner with a live show. A Moroccan dinner in the desert, with a live show; on the Buggy trip the show includes a fire performance.
4. Back in Marrakech around 8:00 PM. The same timetable runs all year.

Which trips include the dinner show, and prices

Every one of our trips ends with dinner and a show. Prices are per person, with free pickup at your hotel or riad:

The simplest and most relaxed choice is the Camel Ride + Dinner & Show. Children aged 3 to 15 pay the same price as adults, and children under 3 are free. You pay by cash on the day.

Is it a sunset dinner?

It depends on the month, and we prefer to be clear about it. Because the trip leaves Marrakech at 3:00 PM and dinner starts around 7:00 PM, the sun sets while you are in the desert only from about October to February. In March and September it sets on the drive back to Marrakech, and from April to August after you are back. For the rest of the year, dinner is in the evening daylight. Food, dietary needs and children

Dinner is a Moroccan meal served in the desert. Vegetarian requests are possible, and you can tell us about allergies in advance when you book, though we can't guarantee an allergen-free meal. The evening suits families: children can join the camel ride, and the whole trip is back in Marrakech around 8:00 PM.

What to bring

From about October to April, bring a warm layer: the desert cools down quickly in the evening, and winter nights can get close to 5 °C. Large water bottles aren't included, so bring water. If you choose a quad or buggy trip, add closed shoes and a scarf or buff for the dust.

Pickup, booking and cancellation

Pickup is free at 3:00 PM from your hotel or riad, in Marrakech and the surrounding area: the Palmeraie, the Ourika and Fès roads, and Agafay desert hotels. The free pickup is shared with other guests; for a private car just for your group, choose paid VIP private transport when you book. • Book online on the booking page, even for the same day until 12:00 noon. No card is needed.
• Pay by cash on the day. There is no online payment.
• Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your trip. Inside 24 hours, the transport cost may be deducted.
• Bad weather: if the weather stops an activity, you can move to the next suitable day for free or get a full refund.
