The Agafay Desert is the closest desert to Marrakech: 30 to 40 km south-west of the city, roughly 40 to 60 minutes by road. That makes it an easy half-day trip — you leave Marrakech at 3:00 PM, ride a quad, buggy or camel, have dinner with a show around 7:00 PM and are usually back in the city around 8:00 PM.
Every trip starts with a free 3:00 PM pickup at your hotel or riad and lasts about 4 to 6 hours depending on the activities. We pick up in Marrakech and the surrounding area: the medina, Guéliz, Hivernage, the Palmeraie, the Ourika and Fès roads, and hotels in the Agafay Desert itself. The free pickup is shared with other guests; if you'd rather have a private car just for your group, choose VIP private transport when you book. If a riad's lane is too narrow for a vehicle, the driver meets you at the nearest point a car can reach.
