Quad biking in Marrakech: prices, what's included and what to check before you book
Updated 23 October 2026 · 4 min read · By the Agafay Desert Tour team

Our quad biking trip in the Agafay Desert starts from 350 MAD per person. That includes a 40-minute quad ride, a 15-minute camel ride, dinner with a live show, and free pickup and drop-off at 7 meeting points in Marrakech. You pay in cash on the day, with nothing to pay online.
Across Marrakech, though, quad prices vary a lot from one company to the next, and two offers that look similar can include very different things. This guide explains what actually changes the price, what our trips include and leave out, and the questions to ask before you book any quad tour.

What changes the price of quad biking in Marrakech
When you compare quad offers, these are the details that make the difference:
- Ride length. The time on the quad is the main cost. Check the actual riding minutes, not the length of the whole outing, which includes transfers, briefing and stops.
- Shared or solo quad. Some prices assume two people on one quad, others one rider per quad. On our trips quads are shared, two people per vehicle.
- Where you ride. The Palmeraie, on the city's edge, means short transfers and flat tracks among palm trees. Agafay is 40 to 60 minutes away, with open desert, hills and Atlas views.
- What else is included. A camel ride, dinner, a show or tea can all be part of the price, or not.
- Transport. Pickup from a central meeting point is cheaper than a private car to your hotel or riad door.
- How you pay. Some sellers take full payment online in advance; others, like us, let you pay in cash on the day.
Our Agafay quad prices and options
All our trips leave Marrakech at 3:00 PM, every day. Prices are per person, and the ones shown here are always the current prices.
| Trip | Riding | Also included | Total time | Price per person |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Quad + Camel + Dinner & Show | 40 min quad, or 1h30 quad | Camel ride (15 min, or 1 hour with the longer option), dinner with a live show | About 5 or 6 hours | From 350 MAD |
| Buggy + Camel + Dinner & Fire Show | 1 hour buggy | 15-minute camel ride, dinner with a fire show | About 5 hours | 1400 MAD |
The longer 1h30 quad option costs more than the 40-minute one; you'll see both prices on the tour page and in the booking form. On the quad package you can also ask for a buggy instead of a quad, for an extra fee. And if you want a ride on its own, without the camel or dinner, Build Your Own Experience lets you choose just a quad or buggy ride. It comes with private VIP transport, which is paid on top.

What's included, and what isn't
Included on our quad package:
- Free pickup and drop-off at 7 meeting points in central Marrakech
- The quad ride (40 minutes or 1h30), with a helmet and a safety briefing
- The camel ride (15 minutes or 1 hour)
- Dinner with a show
Not included:
- Pickup from your hotel or riad door, which is available as paid private VIP transport
- Large bottles of water: bring what you'll drink
- Scarves: bring one for the dust
Who can drive, and is it safe?
Anyone aged 16 or over can drive a quad, and no driving licence is needed. Children aged 3 to 15 ride as passengers but can't drive. Every ride starts with a safety briefing, with the controls explained and a short practice before setting off. Helmets are provided, and a guide leads the group at the front and sets the pace. The routes are off-road tracks, away from traffic.
The activities are run by our partner operators in Agafay, with professional guides and drivers. We take your booking, confirm your pickup point and answer your questions before your trip.
Agafay or the Palmeraie for quad biking?
Both are popular, and they suit different people. The Palmeraie is closer and flatter, with tracks among palm trees and villages: good if you only have a couple of hours. Agafay takes longer to reach, but you ride over open stone desert with hills to climb and the High Atlas on the horizon, and you can stay for a camel ride and dinner. If you have a free afternoon, most visitors find Agafay the more memorable ride.
What to check before you book any quad tour
Whoever you book with, these questions avoid most bad surprises:
- How many minutes on the quad? Get the riding time, not the outing time.
- Is the quad shared? And is the price per person or per quad?
- Where exactly do they pick you up, and is hotel pickup included or extra?
- What's included? Camel ride, dinner, show, drinks?
- Helmets and briefing? Both should be standard.
- When do you pay, and what's the cancellation policy? Ours is free cancellation up to 24 hours before, with payment in cash on the day.
What to wear for quad biking
Closed shoes, long trousers, sunglasses and a scarf or buff for the dust: goggles and scarves aren't provided. From October to April, add a warm layer for the evening. Our quad biking page has more about the ride itself.
